Acupuncture
The practice of acupuncture and moxibustion is based on the theory of meridians. According to this theory, qi (vital energy) and blood circulates in the body through a system of channels called meridians, connecting internal organs with external organs or tissues. By stimulating certain points of the body surface reached by meridians through needling or moxibustion, the flow of qi and blood can be regulated and diseases are thus treated. These stimulation points are called acupuncture points, or acupoints. Very fine and thin needles are inserted into the prescription acupoints. After insertion the patient may experience a feeling of soreness, heaviness, numbness and distention. Needles are left in for 20 minutes or longer depending on the condition. Clients generally do not feel pain with acupuncture.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic treatment can and may help many conditions such as low back pain, neck, shoulder, ankle, knee, arm pain, infantile colic, TMJD, headaches, migraines, and many other conditions. Treatments vary according to the specific problem but may include mobilization, manipulation, physical therapy, soft tissue work, exercise and suggestions on posture and overall health.
Injection Therapies
Injection therapies refer to the use of injectable substances which can be used in pain management and to promote healing. This involves using a combination of corticosteroids, anesthetics and vitamins to inject into the affected areas. These can help stimulate healing in injured areas and may provide relief from the pain associated with muscle tension and damaged ligaments and tendons.
Intravenous (IV) Therapy
IV therapy consists of a customized blend of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and other nutrients administered directly into the bloodstream. By bypassing the digestive system, this ensures you are receiving the fastest and most easily absorbed forms of these. Your IV cocktail will be created based on your specific health needs and can help to support stress management, recovery from cold & flus, chronic fatigue and more.
Iron Infusions
Intravenous iron infusions are a powerful medical treatment designed to address iron deficiency and improve your overall health. This service is for patients who have iron-deficiency anemia that has not responded to oral and dietary changes.
Please note: The appointment cost is for the iron administration only and does not include the cost of the infused iron. Please contact the clinic for more information.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. Naturopathic medicine is the art and science of disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention using natural therapies that takes into account all aspects of a person in order to determine the underlying cause of illness. Treatments are chosen and customized based on the individual patient, not based on the generality of symptoms.
