The practice of acupuncture and moxibustion is based on the theory of meridians. According to this theory, qi (vital energy) and blood circulates in the body through a system of channels called meridians, connecting internal organs with external organs or tissues. By stimulating certain points of the body surface reached by meridians through needling or moxibustion, the flow of qi and blood can be regulated and diseases are thus treated. These stimulation points are called acupuncture points, or acupoints. Very fine and thin needles are inserted into the prescription acupoints. After insertion the patient may experience a feeling of soreness, heaviness, numbness and distention. Needles are left in for 20 minutes or longer depending on the condition. Clients generally do not feel pain with acupuncture.

Growing up in this beautiful province I am proud to call home, I embarked on my professional journey with excitement and passion. My education and training started at Simon Fraser University in the faculty of health sciences where I earned my BSc and I then embarked on the four year Naturopathic medical program. I am a passionate healer, and dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional transitions as a team.

In my practice I enjoy treating musculoskeletal/sports injuries. I want us to work together in determining the most effective treatment for you. We begin by going over your top health goals followed by a thorough medical history in order to gain an understanding of your day to day living and how it is affecting your health. For patients who have not been seen in over 18 months, please book an hour long appointment.

Throughout my life, I have always had a strong desire for learning and I knew that working in the Naturopathic Medicine field, I would be a life-long student constantly learning and growing as both a doctor and an individual.

Each year I set goals of learning new techniques that can further help both my patients and myself. The more I learn new skills, the more I can build on the mastery of my previous skills and the more I can support my patients. I like to encourage my patients to begin setting small goals, growing slowly over time. I enjoy helping people find their own passions in life and strive towards them.
